As on the lead up to Paris 2024 as part of ArcheryGB's Aim for Paris campaign, ArcheryGB are running a Archery Superhero competition which aims to to shine a spotlight on these extraordinary individuals through our special competition designed to celebrate the unsung heroes of the archery community.
Its great to see Ayr Archery Club's Ian Jamieson be recognised for his efforts and dedication to archery with this message capturing the positive impact he has on the people around him through the sport:
"Ian has an amazing knowledge base and makes archery fun. He knows how to balance training for novices but can explain more technical issues to more advanced archers. His great skill is that he never makes anyone feel stupid or ill- informed. He can read the archer's skill level and give them the information they require to improve their skills and equipment. He does this in a modest way week in week out, year after year... 40 years of support is something to say about his commitment."
