Well the last round of the Glasgow Archery League finished with Strathclyde University First, Glasgow Archers coming Second and Monklands making a surprise appearance in 3rd place.
With Strathclyde winning the sixth stage, they comfortably held onto first place in the League and have won the Glasgow Archery League Macmillan Championship Trophy for 2025.
Trophy donated by myself to encourage a continuance for the following years.
My thanks go out to the clubs and their reps, who helped to make sure the league got off the ground and supported the background activities to ensure venue was set-up and put away, scoring results and providing target faces and medals. Special mentions to Chris Murray, James Ross, John Strang for running the events. Alun Ap Rhisiart, Benji Hamer, Erin Ann Dobbin and Freya Rennie for encouraging their club members to participate.
And a thank you to all who came along to take part. Some stats will be provided in an upcoming report for the season. Well done to all the clubs competing and congratulations to Strathclyde University on winning the league. Special mention to Iain and his volunteer team for coordinating and organising the league.
