Shetland Coaches Get Upgraded

5 coaches in Shetland have successfully upgraded their coaching badges to Level 2.

Following intensive training, supported practice and a rigorous assessment earlier this month, Keith Lobban, Dave Williamson, Rose Williamson, Martin Krusche and Suzanne Malcolmson have all gained their UKCC Level 2 coaching badges for Archery.

Course organiser Keith Lobban said “This can only be a good thing for archery in Shetland. We have already seen the benefits of having Level 1 coaches, and this should allow us to take our archers to the next level.” He would like to thank tutor Peter Lennon and assessor Bill MacKay for their time and positive comments.  Thanks also have to go to ArcheryGB, Scottish Archery, SportScotland and the Shetland Islands Council for their support as well as to the archers who were willing to be part of the whole process and without whom this would not have been possible.
