Scottish Disability Sport, in partnership with Perth Archery Club, Scottish Archery and Perth & Kinross Disability Sport are delighted to invite entries from across Scotland to the Scottish Disability Sport National Indoor Archery Championships, to be held on Sunday 3rd of December 2023 at Perth High School.
ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS:
Any person with a disability who has been in regular training or interested in getting involved in the sport. All are welcome. It is requested that youngsters under 16 be accompanied by a parent/ guardian.
FORMAT:
All entrants will shoot a classification round to give them a score, they will then be grouped into pools depending on that score.
Each archer will then shoot a set number of arrows throughout the day. The accumulative score will determine final positions within each pool. (The number of arrows will be announced once entries have closed)
EQUIPMENT:
Perth Archery Club have a range of bows for use on the day of competition to allow those without equipment the opportunity to shoot. It is very important that you notify us should you need to borrow equipment. You can enter this on the entry form.
SCHEDULE:
Registration will open at 10.00am with the championships beginning at 10.30am promptly. The schedule and draw will depend on the number of entries and will be completed one week before the event.
All entrants should be available and ready to shoot at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of their tie.
10.00am: Registration & bow-fitting for those without equipment.
10:30am: Practice
10.50am: Classification Shoot
11:20am: Competition starts
POOLS:
The pools will be grouped by ability going by the classification shoot for archers using recurve bows – There will be a separate category for those using compound bows.
There will be four ‘Pool’ categories – determined by classification shoot.
Beginner
Intermediate
Performer
Compound bow archers
Gold, silver and bronze medals to the top three in each pool.
