Scottish team to travel to Iceland

Scottish Archery are sending a team to compete in an international match and the Icelandic Championships

Scottish Archery will be selecting a team to go to Iceland where there will be International matches on the Saturday before taking part in the Icelandic Championships (WA720 shoot) on the Sunday.

Attending an event in this format and environment will provide the archers with a unique opportunity to experience international competition and will serve as a learning opportunity for future participation in GB teams and competing on the World stage.

The Scottish Archery strategy is to progress archers to GB teams and travelling to an International event with the opportunity to take part in team matches fits well with that aim. Scottish Archery has therefore taken the decision to not participate in the Home Nations team event and will therefore not be sending a team to the British Outdoor Championships. Scottish Archery will still encourage archers to enter the event and domestic funding will be available for those that take part in line with the domestic funding criteria.
