Scotland Team to Compete at Youth Festival

Scottish Archery is delighted to announce the selection of a Scottish Team to compete in the International team event at the AGB Youth Festival.

This year’s youth festival is taking place at Lilleshall from 28th July until 2nd August and now includes an International team event. More information on the youth festival can be found here.

This is a great opportunity for our younger archers to take part in a World Archery format team event against countries from across Europe and further afield. Full details of the selection criteria for being part of the team can be found here.

It is imperative that anyone wanting to represent Scotland has already booked themselves a place at the youth festival as spaces will not be held for National team selections.

The format allows us to select mixed teams to represent Scotland at recurve and compound for both Junior and Cadet age groups. We can also select a mixed or single sex team to compete in recurve at the Cub age group.

In order to offer archers the opportunity to shoot a WA 720 score at the relevant distance for their age group we have scheduled a selection shoot, scores can still be submitted from the previous 12 months but the selection shoot will give the opportunity for anyone stepping up an age group the chance to record a score at the correct distance.

In order to register for the selection shoot please complete this (form).

After the selection shoot has concluded we will be looking for archers to submit their evidence for inclusion in the youth festival team to represent Scotland. Evidence can be submitted using this (form). Closing date for evidence submission is Monday 17th June with the announcement of the team expected soon after.
