Our Club Development Officer Laura Baxter is moving on from Scottish Archery to pursue the next step in her sports development career
Laura has been in post for almost 2 years and has helped to drive the sport significantly forward in her time in post.
Some of the highlights of Laura’s work have been the soft archery programme, accessible club status and the development ambassadors programme. Laura was successful in securing external funding of £24000 over 3 years to support the Development Ambassadors programme, contributing to the wider objectives of Scottish Archery.
All her work as part of the wider staff team led to our membership breaking the 3000 barrier last year and us receiving record investment from sportscotland.
Pathways Manager Alan Martin said ‘Laura has been great for Scottish Archery, her understanding of the club environment and ability to work with a wide range of people is an excellent skillset to have. Laura’s future employers will benefit hugely from having her on board and we wish her all the best’
Laura said ‘I have enjoyed my time with Scottish Archery over the last 2 years and I will be sad to move on. Scottish Archery have a number of great people involved in the sport and I would like to thank all staff, board members, members, volunteers, supporters and partners for all their support over the last 2 years. I wish Scottish Archery and all connected with the sport the very best for the future as they delve further into their strategic plan with the goal of making sport limitless’
Laura’s final working day with us will be 27th June. The Club Development Officer role will be advertised shortly, anyone with an interest should keep an eye on the website.
