Jennifer Griffin confirmed as Chair - Board takes new shape

Scottish Archery Board takes shape

At the recent Scottish Archery AGM, three appointments were ratified to the Board of Directors.

Lyndsay Noon was elected to the post of Development Director after Judith McCleary’s term came to a close. Lyndsay currently works in the charity sector and has several years experience as a Senior Development lead at a couple of large sports governing bodies. Her remit will include strategic oversight of the Development portfolio for Scottish Archery across clubs and people.

Pip Tucknott was re-elected for a second term as a Scottish Archery Director, this time into an evolved position as Director of Athlete Progression which encompasses and expands upon the Performance Director portfolio. We are excited about the scope of this new role given there are some real opportunities to help our representative archers grown and develop. Pip will continue to work with Alan Martin and Moira Taylor on delivering the Scottish Archery Pathways Squad.

Jennifer Griffin was also ratified as the new Independent Chair of Scottish Archery. Jennifer is a familiar face to Scottish Archery and brings a wealth of strategic experience from her day job as a Regional Director for Scottish Rugby.

“I am delighted to have been voted in by the membership of Scottish Archery as Chair.

I have a long standing relationship with Scottish Archery and was fortunate enough to work with organisation from 2014-2018 as Partnership Manager for sportscotland.

During this time I watched as the organisation made significant progression across the Board and Staff Team. My experience to date has been a Board who are forward thinking and constantly evolving, with a staff team that work  tirelessly to support all participants, clubs and volunteers engaging in the sport.  Despite moving on from sportscotland in 2018, I have remained connected with the organisation and it was a pleasure to be co-opted onto the Board in April 2020. I’m honoured to now be the Chair of the organisation, and I look forward to working with the Board, staff, members of Scottish Archery and partners to move towards achieving our vision of “Making Sport Limitless”.
