Nominations now open for Hall of Fame

Scottish Archery is delighted to open 2016 nominations for the Hall of Fame.

This is to recognise those members of the organisation who have been an inspiration to the sport over a prolonged period and who are recognised as having achieved a standard that should be seen as aspirational by our membership.

Inductees to the Hall of Fame do not have to be current members of Scottish Archery, but in order to be considered, they will have had to have been members for a period of no less than 15 years throughout their life.

The Hall of Fame will be restricted to no more than 3 inductees a year.

Induction into the Hall of Fame is open to those who are, or have been outstanding in one or more of the following categories:

  •  Coaches and Mentors
  •  Educators
  •  Competitors
  •  Officials / Judges
  •  Volunteers
  •  Contributors to the sport of archery in Scotland

Decisions on who should be inducted to the Hall of Fame will be made by a panel of no less than three and no more than five members. Membership of this panel can be drawn from the Board of Scottish Archery and/or current members of the organisation. At the very least there must be one current Director on the panel as this individual would be required to present the panel recommendations to the full Board.

Induction to the Hall of Fame will take place at the Annual General Meeting

Nominations for inductees to the Hall of Fame in 2016 will require to be submitted to the panel no later than Saturday 29th October

Nominations must be submitted by a current member of Scottish Archery.

Submissions must be made by e-mail to: scottisharchery@gmail.com
